The Seven Keys To the Kingdom::
It is foretold, often in the form of fairy tales, that Avantasia hides within it a power so strong it can re-create and repair the harm done by Lucifer and his legion. Finally casting the deity into the pits of his Hell without a hope of return. Centuries and centuries have no doubt taken their toll on the truth and thrown in variations. Here is the truth; During the greatest war of good vs. evil, Kings of Avantasia worked together to confine Lucifer to his domain. Hell. Land of the Dead. As Lucifer struggled against his banishment he struck at the altar that was spewing forth the power bestowed on all the Kings. Thus breaking it in pieces and when it separated, all of the keys needed to unlock the seal splayed all over. Lucifer grasped at and managed to get a hold of one of the keys before he vanished.
The altar was destroyed and a new one built. As was the Kingdoms that had been turned into rubble. The Kings decided to divide the keys, each one to receive one for safe-keeping but the Seventh Key was missing. Amongst each other they came to realize who had it in possession. With this knowledge they understood that Lucifer could not truly be confined forever.
Each Key contains a power of its own. And the immortal Lucifer had his hands on the Key of Transition. He was now enabled to pass from one world and time to another as well as twist and bend objects, minds, and even himself into whatever he desired. His abilities were limitless. The only hope for the world was to guard the remaining Keys. Pass them on, hoping each generation was strong enough to keep them safe, until one day someone had the power to get the Seventh Key back and unleash the power to vanquish Lucifer eternally.
